Curiosity Corner offers a space for children to engage in hands-on activities that ignite their imagination and creativity, fostering a love for discovery and learning.

How It Works

  2. Stop in and explore during regular business hours.

  3. Help Curiosity Corners grow by leaving a review and tagging us on your social media pages. 

  4. Become a host or a sponsor.

Where You’ll Find Curiosity Corners

Flowers on 11th

A bright, nature-inspired Curiosity Corner where children can explore flowers using their hands, eyes, and imagination.

Kids can:

  • Sort and count colorful flower petals

  • Discover parts of a flower

  • Investigate flowers with magnifying glasses

  • Build their own flower gardens

  • Solve wooden flower puzzles

Twin Sisters Cycling and Fitness

A lively, action-packed Curiosity Corner where children can explore how bicycles work through movement, lights, sounds, and hands-on play.

Kids can:

  • Spin a bicycle tire and watch colorful beads move along the spokes

  • Honk a bicycle horn

  • Explore how bicycle brakes work

  • Create tricks and adventures in a miniature bike park using finger bikes and skateboards

Birdwell's Coffee & Boba

A colorful, imaginative Curiosity Corner where children can explore shapes, colors, counting, and sorting through boba-inspired sensory play.

Kids can:​

  • Count and create patterns with boba pieces as they play

  • Fill a giant boba cup with pom-poms​

  • Use their imagination through pretend play

Retail Therapy

A playful dress-up Curiosity Corner where children can explore personal style, imaginative play, and the value of giving gently used clothing a second life.

Kids can:

  • Bring in a gently used clothing item to exchange

  • Choose something new-to-them from the Curiosity Corner

  • Dress up and create fun outfits

  • Explore different colors, patterns, and styles

  • Practice sharing and sustainable shopping

  • Discover how reusing clothing helps our community and the environment

Simply Goods Desserts

A sweet, sensory-filled Curiosity Corner where children can use their creativity and imagination while exploring the sights, scents, and playful experiences of a dessert shop.

Kids can:

  • Decorate a pretend cake with colorful felt shapes

  • Explore shapes, colors, and patterns

  • Use a menu to take orders and play dessert shop

  • Prepare and serve pretend coffee

  • Explore the scents of coffee beans, vanilla, donuts, and cinnamon

Want to Host or Sponsor a Curiosity Corner?

Curiosity Corners are small learning stations set up in local businesses to encourage hands-on exploration for young children. Hosting one is easy and a fantastic way to support families in your community.

What Does Sponsoring Involve?

 

As a sponsor, will help fund the materials and resources needed for the Curiosity Corner. This includes providing educational supplies, maintaining the station's upkeep, and promoting the initiative within your network. Your sponsorship will create a positive impact local families and enhance your business's community presence.

Who Can Host a Curiosity Corner?

 

Businesses or organizations can host if they meet the following criteria:

  1. Regular Operating Hours: Your business should have consistent hours so families can easily access the learning station.

  2. Open and Visible Space: - Easily visible to parents - Safe and accessible for young children - not obstruct walkways or business activities - Must be clean and inviting

  3. to the Partnership Agreement: - Keep the activity in good condition - Rotate materials as needed - Inform CPC if items are damaged or require replacement - Create an inviting environment for children and caregivers

  4. Commitment to Family Engagement: Ideal partners child development and enjoy participating in community initiatives.

Since launching, the Curiosity Corners initiative has brought hands-on learning into everyday spaces across Grant County. Together with our host businesses and community sponsors, we're building a network of welcoming play spaces where every family can find a place to explore.
